We are a family-owned and operated, high-end, on-site estate sale company that initially focused on providing clients with unparalleled in-person experiences to liquidate as many of your undesired items as possible.
However, due to the unprecedented nature of COVID-19, we have decided to transition to a fully Online Estate Sale format for the foreseeable future. More information regarding our Online Sales can be found below.

Most of our estate sales will now be conducted online via the website AuctionNinja. Then & Now will maintain our reputation as a provider of excellent service and results without risking the health and safety of our employees or our clients.
Then & Now will still handle all tasks involved in running a successful estate sale, including photography, item pricing, item listing/cataloging, advertising, and item pickup.

Our initial consultation is at your convenience and is free! We come to your home to evaluate the sale contents.
SUPPLYING & PRICING
We supply all the equipment/personnel necessary to conduct the sale set up. Your items will be priced according to fair market value.
Your home is secured and managed by our responsible staff, one way entrance and exit. We are here to help you with the highest level of honesty, diligence, and sensitivity. We will transform your home and beautifully display and organize your items.
An estate sale can only be successful if you have the clientele and customers to attend the sale and purchase your items. Then & Now Estate Sales will advertise your sale on social media, local newspapers, and various web sites, assuring you the most exposure. We are one of the most viewed estate sale companies in NJ, and receive awards monthly!
WHEN AND WHY DO YOU HAVE AN ESTATE SALE?
Anytime! Most clients prefer to have their sale about 3 weeks before moving. We can schedule your sale to meet your timetable. Estate sales were typically held upon the death of a family member. However, people can host an estate sale when they need to unload large amounts of items, for example a renovation or moving.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF ITEMS?
The amount of goods to be sold, the value of those items, and the amount of work involved determine whether Then & Now Estate Sales can be of service and the best method of selling the merchandise.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE ENOUGH ITEMS?
Sometimes a phone call is all it takes, but frequently we will need to go through the home to be certain.
Very efficient and professional. They photographed everything in one day and arranged pick up one week later. They handled it all. To my surprise, almost all of my things were sold! I made more money than I expected. I give my highest recommendation.

I had an estate sale by Then and Now Estate Sales on May 26 and May 27, 2020. I can’t tell you how pleased we were with their work. They were very professional, courteous, and pleasant to work with. Dearest Rae, So many thanks for coordinating the estate sale at my Demarest, NJ home. After 25 years of living there, my wife Lauren and I had extreme anxiety that the majority of contents would not sell, traffic would be light and there would never be enought time to meet our closing date. You were a life saver. Your pre-staging was the first impressive task. Everything was pulled out and ready to sell. Then, on each of the two days (which I initially believed would not be enough), there were 50 people lined up for our opening and a large continuous flow thereafter. Lauren and I couldn't believe it. You and your team were there at every turn aggressively negotiating each sale (big and small), carefully monitoring the busy traffic flow and carrying all pieces out. As an added bonus, I had no idea we would walk away with such a large amount of money. Initially, I met with Zina who gave me an overview of the services provided as well as pricing information. Afterwards she came to the house to determine the best direction to take. Zina took numerous pictures of items, asked insightful questions, and did not make me feel that I was being forced to make any decisions before I was ready to commit to a sale. Her kindness and her professionalism convinced me on the spot that I wanted to work with her. The Then and Now Estates Sales team scheduled, planned, and executed our estate sale. They let me know what to expect every step of the way. They checked up with me on the days preceding the set up and sale to ask if I had any questions or concerns. On the days they were due at the house, they came on time. They advertised on their website, in local print and electronic media, and on social media; determined fair market pricing of our items; created order by giving out numbers to the buyers; set the house up so it looked like a showroom; and most importantly, efficiently managed the sale.
